This comic was inspired by a great many things. I imagined a scene on my way to school, whilst sitting on the c-train, and the rest of the story settled rather quickly.
- 1984 and Animal Farm by George Orwell
- Exodus by Anti-Flag
- Flatland by George A. Abbott, although I've never read the book, I was aware of it and I'm sure its influence crept its way into this story.
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! Finally! I've been frickin' waiting for this story for so long. Awesome, Nick. I can crit it later if you're up for it, but for now I'm just frickin' ecstatic that it's been finished! YES! Greatest premise for a story ever. Awesome, Nick. YES!!!!!!
Haha thanks, Cogs! That's great to hear!
And I'm definitely interested in a crit when you've got the time! Here's hoping it lives up to that hype :)
Hey man, been snooping around on your blog. Your stuff is looking better than ever, and I loved this story. Really awesome stuff. - ROB!!!!
Nice one Nick! Powerful stuff! When you were sitting on the train did you observe someone being escorted away? Scary world!
Hey great to hear from you, Rob! And thanks a lot! I didn't realize you had a blog yourself. I'm going to have to some snooping of my own...
Thanks, Gord! I didn't actually see it happen, I just played out a sort of "what if" situation in my head and wondered if I'd have the courage to so anything about it. Heavy question.
